Story 1: Majeeda
Last week, SVH Türkiye visited Majeeda (pictured right), a 10-year-old Syrian refugee suffering from kidney failure. Mejeeda suffers from Cystinosis. Cystinosis is a rare, multi system genetic disorder. Cystinosis has caused kidney failure for Majeeda. Majeeda is forced to use Peritoneal dialysis for daily sessions of 12 hours.Cystinosis is now impacting Majeeda’s vision and can lead to blindness.
Cure: Majeeda needs a kidney transplant. Donor: Majeeda’s uncle. Timeline: State approval takes 3 or more months.
Short Term Requirements Pills: Cystagon (picture below). Daily cost: 12 USD. Eye Drops: Cystadrops (picture below). Daily cost: 80 USD.
We are humbly asking for donations to help cover the cost of this expensive medication until Majeeda gets a kidney transplant.Your donations will help Majeeda preserve her eye vision. Time is of the essence Delay in getting the necessary medication now will lead to the loss of Majeeda’s vision.

Story 2: Maryam
Syrian Refugee Family:
Maryam, one and a half years old, was diagnosed with Ohtahara syndrome when she was ten days old. She suffers from seizures that have caused her to lose all control of her limbs. Unable to walk, crawl, or speak, she is now in desperate need of physical therapy. Due to an excess of mold in the family’s apartment building, Maryam’s tonsils were affected and she is unable to swallow solids. She is fed specialized milk and water through an IV machine, which can be taken away by the hospital without any notice. Maryam’s parents need help paying for their baby’s excessive medical expenses.

Story 3: Lana & Layan
Lana and Layan are Syrian sisters, aged 20 and 14, who both suffer from paralysis. Lana's symptoms began in Syria, where she experienced severe epileptic fits. Despite consulting a neurologist in Damascus and undergoing an MRI scan, doctors were unable to diagnose her condition, which has progressively worsened over time. After the family relocated to Turkey as refugees, Layan began to exhibit similar symptoms. Currently, Lana is completely paralyzed and has lost both her eyesight and ability to speak. Although Layan retains limited vision, she has reached a similar stage of paralysis as Lana, despite her symptoms emerging later. The family's financial situation is dire, making it difficult for them to afford the necessary medical care for Lana and Layan. We kindly ask for your donations to help alleviate the financial burden on this family and provide support for these beautiful girls during this challenging time. Your generosity can make a significant difference in their lives.

Story 4: Robina
Robina, a Syrian teacher, recently became a widow. Her husband, Muhammad, also a teacher, tragically drowned while attempting to save a colleague during a school trip to Şile. At the time of this heartbreaking incident, Robina was heavily pregnant. Just a week after losing her husband, she gave birth to their beautiful son, Muhammad Jawad. Robina is now left to care for her two children: her six-year-old daughter, Sama, and the newborn Muhammad Jawad. Muhammad was a compassionate and selfless man who was actively involved in initiatives to help orphans.
Subhanallah, it is heart-breaking that his own children are now without their father. Robina is facing significant financial challenges and needs assistance to cover her living expenses and provide for her children. As she navigates this fresh and painful tragedy, any support we can provide will help. We kindly ask for your donations to support Robina during this difficult time. Your generosity will provide her with the stability she needs to care for her children and rebuild her life.
Thank you for your consideration and for your generosity.

Where this campaign stands today
Raised, deployed, and items delivered are sourced from the same ledger_entries table our finance team reconciles against. The numbers below match the admin transparency view exactly.
Updated live from the public ledger.
A monthly commitment is the most efficient gift you can give us.
Recurring donors stay with us 5× longer than one-time givers, which means we can plan distributions, lock vendor pricing, and stand by communities through the quiet seasons — not just the headline crises.
