SVH: Empowerment Through Livelihoods – Pakistan & KPK
Across Pakistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), countless widows, disabled individuals, and vulnerable families continue to struggle with unemployment, rising living costs, and limited access to sustainable income opportunities.
Across Pakistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), countless widows, disabled individuals, and vulnerable families continue to struggle with unemployment, rising living costs, and limited access to sustainable income opportunities.
Rather than creating dependency through short-term aid alone, Hidden Humanity aims to empower vulnerable households with practical tools that allow them to earn a dignified and stable livelihood.
This project focuses on two simple but high-impact interventions:
- Providing industrial sewing machines to widows so they can begin tailoring and garment work from home.
- Providing rickshaws to disabled and vulnerable men so they can generate daily income and support their families independently.
These initiatives are designed to restore dignity, create long-term self-reliance, and help families move toward financial stability.
1. Sewing Machine Support for Widows
Hidden Humanity will provide:
- 2 Industrial Sewing Machines
- Basic starter tailoring materials
- Delivery and setup assistance
The sewing machines will enable widows to:
- Stitch clothing from home
- Take tailoring orders within their communities
- Generate regular monthly income
- Support their children without relying entirely on donations
Home-based tailoring is one of the most practical and culturally appropriate livelihood opportunities for widows in many regions of Pakistan and KPK.
2. Rickshaw Livelihood Support
Hidden Humanity will provide:
- 2 Rickshaws
- Registration and initial setup support
The rickshaws will be provided to:
- Disabled men
- Vulnerable breadwinners
- Individuals with limited employment opportunities
The rickshaws will allow recipients to:
- Earn consistent daily income
- Transport passengers or goods locally
- Support their families with dignity
- Build long-term financial independence
For many vulnerable families, a single rickshaw can become the primary source of household income.
Project Goals
- Empower widows through home-based income generation
- Support disabled and vulnerable men with sustainable employment
- Reduce dependency on emergency aid
- Strengthen family stability and self-sufficiency
- Create long-term community impact through livelihood support
Expected Impact
Through this initiative, Hidden Humanity expects to:
- Directly support multiple vulnerable households
- Help beneficiaries generate sustainable monthly income
- Improve food security and household stability
- Restore confidence, dignity, and independence among recipients
The impact of these tools extends beyond a single individual — often supporting entire families including children, elderly parents, and dependents.
Hidden Humanity believes that empowering vulnerable families with the means to earn a livelihood creates deeper and longer-lasting impact than temporary relief alone.
By equipping widows and vulnerable men with practical income-generating tools, this project aims to transform lives through dignity, opportunity, and self-reliance.

Raised, deployed, and items delivered are sourced from the same ledger_entries table our finance team reconciles against. The numbers below match the admin transparency view exactly.
A monthly commitment is the most efficient gift you can give us.
Recurring donors stay with us 5× longer than one-time givers, which means we can plan distributions, lock vendor pricing, and stand by communities through the quiet seasons — not just the headline crises.
