Majeeda an 8-year-old Refugee suffering from Acute Kidney Failure
Majeeda at the age of 8 is suffering from End Stage Kidney Disease which is fatal without proper treatment as it affects both kidneys. As a side effect of this rapid disease, Majeeda suffers from stunted growth making her appear much smaller than her actual age.
Majeeda’s is an 8-year-old Syrian refugee that escape__d the Syrian Civil war and fled to Istanbul, Turkey with her family in hopes of receiving access to better healthcare. Majeeda’s is suffering from kidney failure and unfortunately her medicine is extremely expensive and unavailable in Turkey. Majeeda has to wait until she is 10 years old before her name can be put on the kidney transplant list to give her a second chance at a healthy life. We are appealing to the community to help Majeeda’s family raise enough money for her medication so she can become candidate.

- Purchase of medicine for the next 2 years, $9,125
Majeeda’s parents fled Syria with their 3 daughters when the war ravaged their hometown. Every parent’s worst nightmare is when they can’t help their child when they are in pain. Majeeda at the age of 8 is suffering from End Stage Kidney Disease which is fatal without proper treatment as it affects both kidneys. As a side effect of this rapid disease, Majeeda suffers from stunted growth making her appear much smaller than her actual age. Majeeda will be a candidate for a kidney transplant when she reaches the age of 10, however this only a possibility if she receives the necessary medical treatment to prolong her life until then.
Unfortunately, Majeeda’s medicine is not available in Turkey and has to be imported from Italy, which is extremely expensive. As her father is a day laborer, he is unable to cover the cost of her daily medicine, leaving her parents with no other option than to drastically reduce her dosage in order to prolong her medicine supply. Her medicine currently cost $396 for a month supply. As her family is barely able to make ends meet, we are pleading with the community to help Majeeda with the chance of getting a liver transplant and this can only happen if she gets the required daily medicine. Let us come together as a community and cover her necessary medicine for the next two years.

Where this campaign stands today
Raised, deployed, and items delivered are sourced from the same ledger_entries table our finance team reconciles against. The numbers below match the admin transparency view exactly.

A monthly commitment is the most efficient gift you can give us.
Recurring donors stay with us 5× longer than one-time givers, which means we can plan distributions, lock vendor pricing, and stand by communities through the quiet seasons — not just the headline crises.
