Father Loses Leg Due Lack of Medical Care

We are looking to help pay off the debts of a father who has fallen on hard times due to a medical illness. Ahmad is 38 years old and a father to 4 children.

We are looking to help pay off the debts of a father who has fallen on hard times due to a medical illness. Ahmad is 38 years old and a father to 4 children. He developed a rash in his leg that quickly turned for the worse. He took on multiple loans to be able to travel to Kabul for treatment. Once in Kabul he was told he needed to travel to Pakistan for further treatment.

He came back home and sold whatever he had in his possession to be able to travel Pakistan. While in Pakistan, we helped his family with food aid until the father returned home. In Pakistan they were unable to treat the wound and they had to amputate his leg. Soon after he developed the same condition in his other leg and in his hand.

He went to a different doctor for treatment. This doctor told him that he had blocked veins in his back and as result blood wasn't getting to his leg and due to the prolong illness they amputated his leg, which could have been prevented if had been correctly diagnosed.

He is now seeking treatment to save his other leg and arm. Drowning in debt he turns to us for help. Soon he will be back home and the debt collectors will be knocking on his door.

We aim to not only help pay off his debts but also provide some relief for his family until he can get healthy.
