Winter Relief Project Proposal for Gaza – 2025
As winter settles over Gaza, the humanitarian situation has become increasingly severe. Families are facing cold temperatures with limited access to electricity, proper shelter, and heating. Many homes remain damaged or displaced families are living in temporary structures, leaving them vulnerable to harsh winds, cold rain, and dropping night temperatures. Children and the elderly are especially at risk. With shortages of warm clothing and blankets, thousands are struggling to stay warm. The need for winter relief is urgent, as the lack of adequate protection against the cold significantly increases the risk of illness and further suffering.
Project Location: North & South Gaza
Project Duration: Winter Season
1. Background & Current Winter Situation in Gaza
2. Project Goal
To provide essential winter support to vulnerable families—especially children—in both North and South Gaza, helping them stay warm, protected, and safe during the winter months.
3. Objectives
• Distribute 500 warm winter blankets to families in need.
• Provide 1,000 children with two sets of warm winter clothing (coats, pants, sweaters, hats, etc.).
• Support families across both North and South Gaza, ensuring equitable access despite difficult conditions and ongoing movement restrictions.
4. Items & Budget
A. Winter Blankets
• Quantity: 500 blankets
• Cost per blanket: $25
• Total: $12,500
B. Children’s Warm Winter Clothes (2 sets each)
• Quantity: 1,000 children
• Cost per child: $40
• Total: $40,000
Total Project Cost:
$12,500 + $40,000 = $52,500
5. Implementation Plan
1. Local Procurement:
Items will be sourced from local vendors where possible to support the local economy and ensure quick availability.
2. Distribution:
• Priority will be given to displaced families, low-income households, and families with young children.
• Distribution teams on the ground will coordinate in both North Gaza and South Gaza to ensure fair and efficient delivery.
• Each child will receive two sets of warm winter clothing.
• Each family will receive high-quality winter blankets designed for cold-weather protection.
3. Monitoring & Reporting:
Transparent documentation—including photos, beneficiary lists (when appropriate), and a final report—will be provided to donors.
6. Expected Impact
• 500 families will sleep warmer with proper winter blankets.
• 1,000 children will be protected from the cold with proper winter clothing.
• Reduced risk of illness among vulnerable populations.
• Strengthened community resilience during one of the harshest seasons of the year.
7. Call to Action
Your contribution can bring warmth, comfort, and hope to families facing one of the most difficult winters in Gaza. Together, we can help protect children, support families, and ensure that no one is left in the cold.
Every blanket and every set of clothing makes a life-changing difference.
