Severe storms and flooding have devastated communities in Ditwah, Sri Lanka. Homes were destroyed, livelihoods wiped out, and food security shattered. Families already living in extreme poverty are now struggling to find even one meal a day.

As Ramadan approaches — a month of fasting, mercy, and generosity — thousands of families are facing the unbearable reality of breaking their fast with empty plates.

SVH is launching an emergency Ramadan food relief campaign to restore dignity, nourishment, and hope to these vulnerable families.

Cost Per Family: USD $50

Each Ramadan Food Pack supports one family of five for the full month of Ramadan.

These carefully selected essentials provide nutrition for both Suhoor and Iftar throughout Ramadan.

This project is eligible for Zakat and Sadaqah and supports:

  • The poor (Al-Fuqara)

  • The needy (Al-Masakeen)

  • Flood-affected and disaster-stricken families

  • Widows and elderly-headed households
