Gaza Orphans’ Summer Hope Camp
Children in Gaza have endured unimaginable loss, displacement, interrupted education, and prolonged exposure to fear and trauma. For orphaned children, the emotional and psychological impact is especially severe.
Hidden Humanity is seeking donor support to provide 100 orphaned children, ages 6 to 14, with a one-week Summer Hope Camp in Gaza. The camp will create a safe, welcoming, and child-friendly environment where children can learn, play, build friendships, and receive structured psychosocial support.
What the Camp Will Provide
Over six days, participating children will receive:
- Psychosocial support sessions led by trained facilitators
- Educational activities to address learning gaps
- Life-skills development
- Recreational and sports activities
- Creative arts sessions
- Daily nutritious hot meals
- Child-protection monitoring and ongoing evaluation
The camp will serve 50 boys and 50 girls, ensuring balanced access and inclusion.
Restoring Hope Through Care and Connection
The purpose of this project is not only to provide temporary recreation. It is designed to help children process emotional distress, reduce anxiety, strengthen coping skills, and rebuild a sense of safety and belonging.
Through group activities, education, creative expression, sports, and supportive interaction, the children will have an opportunity to experience moments of normal childhood in the midst of extremely difficult circumstances.
