For many, the ability to earn a livelihood has disappeared entirely. Entire families—children, elderly
parents—are left dependent on women who have no access to income, no opportunities, and no
pathway forward.
But even in these conditions, resilience remains.
And where there is resilience, there is opportunity.
A Solution Rooted in Dignity
Hidden Humanity is launching an all-women garment workshop in Kabul—designed within the legal
framework of the current authorities to ensure compliance, protection, and sustainability.
This is not temporary aid. This is long-term empowerment.
We will train 20 women—primarily widows—in professional tailoring through a 6-month structured
program.
By the end of training:
• Each woman will have a marketable, income-generating skill
• Each will transition into paid employment within the workshop
• The workshop will operate as a self-sustaining business model
Built for Sustainability
Garments will be sold in local Afghan markets and internationally online.
All revenue will fund salaries, operations, and program growth.
This ensures long-term independence—not dependency.
More Than Employment
Each woman will receive two meals daily, a safe work environment, and a path to financial
independence.
For widows who have lost everything, this is a second chance at life.
