“Your Zakat Can Put Food on Their Table”

This Ramadan, Hidden Humanity is launching our yearly Nourishing Hope in Afghanistan 2026, a life-saving food relief campaign to support 1,000 of the most vulnerable Afghan families — nearly 10,000 individuals — across Kabul, Kandahar, Parwan, Jalalabad, and Panjshir.

Years of economic collapse and displacement have left countless families unable to meet their most basic needs. Widows, orphans, internally displaced families, and households with no stable income face daily hunger — a hardship that becomes even more severe during the blessed month of Ramadan.

Through this campaign, each family will receive a comprehensive Ramadan food package containing staple foods and essential household items, including flour, rice, cooking oil, beans, chickpeas, dates, sugar, tea, and hygiene supplies — enough to sustain them through the month with dignity.

Hidden Humanity is working directly with trusted local partners to identify families most in need and ensure transparent, fair distribution one week before Ramadan, allowing families to prepare for fasting without fear of hunger.

The food package for most will last more than a month. We have seen in the past that some families have stretched it out to last for 3 months. $100 is all it takes to feed a large family for at least the whole month of Ramadan.
