Winter Food Aid Proposal for Gaza – 2025

1. Background

As Gaza enters another harsh winter, thousands of families continue to face severe food insecurity. Limited access to supplies, damaged infrastructure, and ongoing restrictions have made daily survival extremely challenging. Many households are struggling to secure even the most basic food items, and the demand for food support has increased significantly.

To respond to this urgent need, our team has prepared a large-scale winter food distribution effort aimed at reaching vulnerable families across Gaza.

2. Project Overview

We aim to distribute 3,000 food packages to needy families throughout Gaza. Each package is designed to provide essential staples that can sustain a family for a period of time during the winter season.

Thanks to securing a large quantity of food aid, we have successfully reduced the cost per food package from $45 to $35, allowing us to support more families with the same level of funding.

3. Project Goals

• Provide 3,000 families with essential food supplies during winter.

• Reduce hunger and malnutrition among vulnerable households.

• Strengthen community resilience during a period of heightened need.

• Ensure distribution reaches families across both North and South Gaza.

4. Budget Summary

Food Packages

• Quantity: 3,000 packages

• Cost per package: $35

• Total Project Cost: $105,000

Each package will include a balanced mix of staples such as flour, rice, oil, lentils, canned goods, sugar, and other essentials (based on availability and local needs).

5. Implementation Plan

1. Procurement

• Food items have been secured in bulk, allowing for significant cost reduction.

• Procurement will continue locally when possible to support Gaza’s economy.

2. Packaging & Preparation

• Teams on the ground will prepare standardized packages to ensure consistency.

3. Distribution Across Gaza

• Priority will be given to displaced families, widows, orphans, and low-income households.

• Distribution points will be set up in both North and South Gaza, with mobile teams reaching areas with limited access.

4. Monitoring & Reporting

• Donors will receive documentation of the distribution process and verification of the number of families served.

6. Expected Impact

• 3,000 families (approximately 15,000–24,000 individuals) will receive critical food support.

• Reduced hunger and improved nutrition during the winter months.

• Strengthened trust between communities and aid providers through direct, transparent distribution.

• Increased capacity to respond quickly to future crises.
