Breaking the Cycle of Poverty, One Child at a Time
Every child deserves a chance.
Poverty is more than the absence of money. It is often the absence of opportunity.
For many children growing up in rural Cambodia, the circumstances they are born into can shape the rest of their lives. Without access to education, the cycle of poverty becomes increasingly difficult to escape, passing from one generation to the next.
But education has the power to change that.
In Stœ̆ng Préal Village, Pursat Province, a group of dedicated imams are doing what they can to give children a better start. Volunteering their time, they teach the Qur’an, share knowledge and help nurture young minds, asking for nothing in return.
They believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, regardless of their circumstances.
More than a madrasah
Together, we are helping to build a madrasah that will give these children a dedicated place to learn and grow.
For some, it may be their first step towards continuing their studies. For others, it may inspire them to become teachers, community leaders or professionals who will one day give back to the very communities that raised them.
Education does not guarantee a life free from poverty. But it opens doors that might otherwise remain closed. And sometimes, all a child needs is someone willing to open that first door.
Already 60% complete. Help us finish the rest.
Alhamdulillah, thanks to the generosity of our supporters, ** the madrasah is already approximately 60% complete.**
The foundations have been laid, construction is progressing, and what was once a vision is becoming a reality.
But we need one final push to complete the school and provide these children with a proper place to learn.
Our remaining fundraising goal is USD 8,981
Every contribution brings us closer to finishing what has already begun. Whether it’s $10, $50 or $100, your generosity will help turn a partially completed building into a place of learning for generations to come.
Help us change the story
Imagine a child who grows up to become a teacher, returning to educate the next generation. Or a young person who continues their studies and goes on to support their family and community.
That is how cycles begin to change.
Not overnight, and not through a single building, but through the opportunities we create for one another. This is also the beauty of Sadaqah Jariyah. The knowledge shared today may continue to benefit others for generations.
60% built. USD 8,981 to go. A future worth finishing.
